The wind filled in in the evening so I popped over to the beach for a quick blast. I have a new fin which was pretty difficult to get hold of as I wanted something fairly big for my 90ltr wave board so that I could use my 6.7m sail with it. Getting a 32cm fin for a US fin box wasn't that easy, but now that I have it it seemed to work. I was nicely powered up to start with and the 32cm fin was certainly more suited to the 6.7m sail than the 23cm wave fin I had used before.

The upwind ability was of course much better as well.

Unfortunately the wind was short-lived and after a few riuns it dropped completely leaving me to wallow back to shore and then complete a little walk of shame.
